Experimentally studies the performance of a separated heat pipe in a simulated communication base station, and obtains the changing characters of heat discharge capacity and energy efficiency ratio along with the difference between indoor and outdoor temperatures and the fan power. Builds a typical model of communication base station on DeST platform. Calculates the operation parameters of the air conditioning system in the working conditions of individual heat discharge and combined with the separated heat pipe, respectively. Analyses the energy saving rate, electricity saving rate and static payback period of the combined operating conditions, which proving the strong energy saving potential of the separated heat pipe exchangers used in communication base stations.
